Finger Pointing โ€“ May 7th

Hello! How is everyone recovering from iNSD? I’ve literally sat down at the computer with time to scrap & just stared at things, or browsed the internet. I feel like my mojo is a bit lacking after making 38 layouts last month (a good majority the last week of April!) BUT- there’s nothing better to boost mojo than browsing galleries right!? I found some great ones to share with you today!

Many Faces of Dash by michele hillam

Always a sucker for doggy layouts- this one did not disappoint! I LOVE the month labels & photos documenting Dash’s growth. He is SO cute! I love how Michele also used color on her layout- the matching paint splatter to the label & elements! So fun!

Doggie Beach by bcgal00

Not on purpose- but goes to show you… I loved Doggie Beach by bcgal00. Taz is adorable! I love how Rae placed her element with all the fun seashells & beach themed ellies centered vertically. The sandy toes word art over the photo of sandy toes is perfect!

Hawaii by zinzilah

I wish I was in Hawaii too! I love the angle of all the photos & how zinzilah added shadows to some to add some contrast & dimension! All the fun birds, animals, floral & sunset pics just take you straight to Hawaii! Also- I need that background paper in my life- palm trees are my favorite!ย  Paradise indeed!

The Dog by margeda

The composition of this layout is what struck me in the gallery. I also really love how margeda did her title with the photo! The blendy/painty goodness and the simple dog ellies are perfect. Her journaling made me tear up… how doggies are so much more than just our dogs!

Hot mess by Sheana

Pretty sure Sheana & I are long lost sisters. I am a hot mess these days & I completely run on caffeine, chaos & cuss words! ๐Ÿ™‚ Isn’t that word art just perfect!? I also love all her paper butterflies with the fun patterns & simple, beautiful clusters!

Seaside byย lauriezyskind

Cannon Beach is probably on my top 10 favorite places on Earth! I love how Laurie blended that beautiful Haystack Rock photo into the wood paper & all the fun detail pics she’s included. The simple, beach themed ellies & fun paper strips/stacks round this layout perfectly!

So- now I want to go to the beach, Hawaii & snuggle my dogs! Instead today I will be schooling 3rd & 6th graders, laundry, taking the puppy in & out eleventy-billion times & somehow manage to sneak in a few minutes to scrap- my mojo restored! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Check these ladies out & leave some love around digiland today!

Finger Pointing โ€“ April 27th

Hello scrappy friends! How’s quarantine? Stir crazy? Or like me- you have a houseful of kids & pets to keep fed, schooled & happy? It has literally taken me ALL DAY to get this post up- basically until my husband got home from work so he could be ‘on duty’! Phew! This momma needs a break (or a drink!?) Any who- I’ve found some super fun layouts for your enjoyment today!

First Day of Corona by ElaineU

This layout cracked me up because I’m a huge “1st/Last day of school” scrapper & totally agree with Elaine that Corona Academy is a thing! These kids’ teachers deserve WAY more credit than we give them! I love the black & white photos with the bright kit supplies as well as the linear (but imperfect) flow!

Still Standing by scrapsandsass

You GO Girl! I love the GIRL POWER here with the fun abstract paper choices & the perfect little word arts! It’s the best all about me theme- Bring it! I love the artists choice of embellishements- how fun are those dice!? The stitching & stamps/scribbles add the perfect touch!

Blown Away by LanaBeber

I just love how the artist framed her cool art! The beautiful floral clusters & the color palate are just plain gorgeous! It’s totally a frame-able piece of art in of itself!

je peins by myla

Wow! There’s so much fun stuff to look at on this layout. I love the palate of paints- I’m not sure if that’s a blended photo of the real thing or just an element- but it perfectly matches the photos! I also love all the painty, blendy goodness as well as the tucked in corners!

Oh Ms. Molly by myssp

Oh Ms. Molly, how adorable are you?! The M with all those fun letters jumped right out at me. I’m a big fan of type & lettering so of course I had to finger point this one today! I love the hearts, the b/w photo & the large floral cluster. The artists shadows & lighting effects are spot on!

Your Smile by pacina

Last but certainly not least, I chose this layout because it made me smile too! I love the yellow/blues color scheme & that photo is just too stinking cute! The white space, but still maintaining lots of fun layers with great shadowing made this layout stand out in the gallery!

That’s all for tonight folks! I’m off to lock myself in my room & go for a nice soak, my book & a drink! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Please give these ladies a shout out, as well as all the other layouts hopping in the galleries! Have a great day & stay healthy!

Finger Pointing โ€“ April 4th

Well if this isn’t the cutest baby I’ve ever seen!? So adorable & I love how the artist composed a balloon like embellishment cluster! The shadowed pencil is fun & unexpected!

I’ve always been a big fan of Kiana’s layouts- but this one jumped out at me in the gallery- the floral clusters are so beautiful & have such depth! I like the split background, the linear composition & the super fun photos!

When boredom strikes- I URGE you to take a browse through the galleries & leave some love- we all could use a little extra love these days! Stay safe & healthy my friends!

StudioDD_LayerWorksNo1107600for-web by scrapapicture

Well, what can I say- it’s the hot topic today! It’s the reason I’m running behind in my post. I actually took a couple screenshots of our activities that were cancelled thinking of how to scrap this crazy pandemic! I love how this artist found the humor! I think we all need to laugh when times are strange & new. Her mask selfie is perfect! And how cute is that little masked emoji?

On that note- please stay safe & healthy fellow scrappers! At least with ‘quarantine’ we will be able to browse the galleries, get caught up on whatever we’re behind on & practice the best hobby out there!

Finger Pointing โ€“ January 9th

Hello! Here in Eastern Washington we’re gearing up for a big snow storm! I’m actually super excited, as we’ve had unseasonably warm temperatures and that means RAIN. I’m not a huge fan of rain- but LOVE snow! I’m hoping that it’s not a typical forecaster’s overreaction for this coming storm & we get some decent snow! I obviously have snow on the brain– as I was browsing galleries for this post- I was drawn to the winter, snow themed layouts! Here’s my picks for today!

Color Challenge – Arctic Pastels- Winter Sunset by smcloone

I LOVE the large blended photo, white space & minimal ellies to separate the photo from the paper! Such a gorgeous sunset photo with the stark trees & super fun shadowing and element choices!

Snow Days by reginafalango

How cute is that little guy waving hello!? It’s almost like he’s saying hello to that cute little birdy! I LOVE how the artist did her snow scene- all the fun foliage with the present tucked inside and everything buried by the snow! Her photo (gorgeous) is blended perfectly as well!

2020-MOC#09 by mcurtt

While maybe not a specific “snow” themed layout- the Horse-Drawn wagons give the sense of a ride through the snow! I love the photo captured & the bright contrast! I like the unique way she cropped the photo & then tucked the super fun holly paper mat below. The santa hat on the little qr code label is just too cute!

I love how this photo blends so seamlessly with the digi supplies! The ice skates & the winter foliage are perfect touches as well as the placement of that great scripty title!

Snow by allyanne

And of course my love affair with ally’s layouts continues! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Not only are the supplies beautiful, but ally’s photos & the journal book to document her snow day are awesome! I love the bundled up selfie, all the themed little ellies and the scrabble tiles title!

That’s all for tonight- as far as layout goes- hopefully our snow starts dumping soon! Please leave these uber talented artists some love. Have a great night!
