Time flies. And, time seems to speed up when we long for a slower pace. October is passing quickly, and I have found some gorgeous autumn images to inspire you! The galleries are full of fall festivals and outdoor activities in those beautiful warm colors of fall.
Autumn memories are beautifully captured in this image of a young family. They are playing in the crisp fields of dried grass and fading trees. The image is paired perfectly with a pieced quilt. The floral cluster is a combination of embroidery and three-dimensional leaves. Lace and a layer of tulle add to the fabulous textures and the cozy feel of this artistry.
Autumn is an excellent time to work on projects as this stunning design illustrates! The artist is combining digital and traditional memory keeping to create this hybrid project! The images beautifully capture the growth of a walk through the woods. The colors are vibrant, and they are paired with patterned papers and dimensional leaves. Notice the page is clipped and bound in a traditional journal!
Time is Precious by Lisa Taylor
Time is exquisitely captured by this journal design. The image is a wonderful illustration of the illusion of the digital artistry mimicking traditional journals. The book has pages that have drops and splatters of ink that appear to age the pages. There are grids, brushes, and notes that are embedded into the paper. A lovely cluster of clocks and ivy symbolize the passage of time. A deeper message can be interpreted from the title.
The portrait captures the expressions of the young boys, perfectly. They are expectant and bright eyed. The artist has chosen a small artist’s journal to frame the image. Paint swatches mark the pages and a cluster contains an accent and a brush. This adds a touch of whimsy as the artist may be planning more art projects or perhaps storing the valuable photo in a favorite journal.
The last green fragments of summer are captured in this gorgeous design. The deep greens are the last colors of summer before the golden browns, oranges and reds. The washes across the ground suggest a rainy October. I love the balance and use of the triangle to place the strong blocks: the October label, the framed and stitched leaf and the framed fern. The artsy marks add tension as they lead the eyes to the painted trees.
Vintage photos are priceless! This is a fabulous photo of a young girl. The story captures her personality and her character. The photo cluster contains leaves, vintage illustrations, and wild berries. The use of the torn frame adds to the age of the photo, not as an imperfection. The choice is brilliant!
I hope that you find inspiration in these works! If you have a moment, share your love by clicking on the title. You will find each in their gallery.
Make time for your self and your art!
