It’s a New Year and the month is just moving right along.  Hope this New Year started off fabulous for everyone!  I see we have lots of creativity flowing as the galleries are just overflowing with a whole bunch of gorgeousness!

Here’s a but a sampling of the gorgeous creativity that I’m seeing as I mill about the galleries.

Snow Day – Hank by jcaruth910-I admit the ocean feel with those ice glaciers grabbed my eye first.  I was like “whoa, that’s so cool!”  When I took a closer look, I then saw this fabulous action shot!  He’s part super hero or maybe he is trying to prove he can jump high enough to grab the dangling mittens (which is a fabulous element placement).  Really truly love the cool vibe here!

Next up we have, Imagine by Beth.  All this red is definitely a show stopper.  I love the hip retro vibe happening here and look at that sweet bird.  Love how the artist pulled the various shades of red together and made them cohesive.  Reds can be tricky at times and they are done so beautifully here.

I then turned the corner and saw this gorgeous white space page that is definitely on the art journaling and mixed media side.  This is Fly Away by Marleen.  All these paints, messy threads and paint splatters, perfectly accent this gorgeous butterfly.    The composition gives the illusion of the butterfly being in upward flight.

It’s no secret, I really do love art journaling.  This fun and fabulous reminder toFind Yourself” by Deanna is gentle reminder to us all… life is truly about balance.  I love the layering here and the journaling.  The little doll doing yoga is so perfect with her messy bun!

I admittedly am not the best at doing re-caps of the year in review.  I will say, MOC10 – Day 9 // Your 2021 Year-In-Review by Vrielinkie.  I love that she used circles.  Some are faux cutouts or actual cutouts and then others are layered. A gorgeous and fun and non traditional way to capture a year in review.

And wrapping up today, I have this fun action layout with lots of mixed media goodness just enhancing the action. This is 2021_12_Hockey_MOC12 by Amien1.  The placement of the paints and splatters is perfection with the blended photo into the background.

Hope you enjoyed my picks for the day.  If you have a moment, swing by and leave these fabulous artist some love!

Until next time and around the galleries!
