Hiya, it’s Carol here (carollee in the digiscrap world) and coming to you from a spectacular Autumn day here downunder.  I’ve had an absolutely brilliant day and now with a cuppa by my side, I’m off to have a jaunt around the galleries.  Ready set go.

Take Time | Electra

An intricate page and totally interesting, made me want to look closer.    First of all – love the quote – ditto from me for those kinds of cookies!  Loving the use of all the hashtags.  Nodding along here.  A lot to see here but it all works. Fabulous.

Oh bless his little cotton socks, what a fun page.  In many years to come this little boy will become a man and look at these photos with fondness when his own son or daughter does similar.  Love that there’s a sequence of photos, in different sizes and crops, makes it interesting.  The striped background looks great and nice pick up on the aqua triangle bringing our eyes to the middle.

Simply Being Here | Anke

Such a delicate hand used here for the page.  Beautiful use of elements and shadowed so well.  Love the spill out frame and the brushwork behind, particularly with that cracked background, makes me think of the walls of a crumbling church, though I’m sure by the look of those beautiful doors there will be nary a crack in sight.

Pick 5 monthly (C-BW) | Barbara Houston

Wow.  Awesome treatment done on the photo, looks like it’s from a movie set, wild and stormy.  Fab shadow on the tear over the background paper, and really nice elements evoking the road trip.   I love a big photo on a page, looks terrific.

Looking Forward | Shannamay

Firstly the subject of this page resonates with me – upcoming retirement in some time in the future.  Things about a job you relish and will miss as you move into the next stage of your life.  What a joyous photo of the artist’s teaching days.  She’s created a great school page – the alphabet letters, the graph paper, the blue school flag and the uniform type colours.  Good luck with the future, I’m going to assume you were a favourite teacher amongst the students.

You | marijke

This is so darling, a gorgeous photograph and beautiful scrapbooking.   Sweet garden perfectly sized elements supporting the photograph and letting it shine, nestled on that lovely neutral wash of papers.  Set off with a fun floral border, this is definitely a page for the family album to remember these sweet years.

Well I started this post yesterday my time and finished it early this morning, your evening.  Got to work out the timing for the blog because we come from the future downunder.  Interestingly, the journaller in me usually picks pages with a journaled story, so my picks are quite different this time with little or no journalling, and I really have enjoyed the artwork and skill of the artists.  If you have too please click on the page title links and leave the artists some digi love.  Until the next time…

Bye for now!  Carol
